Macroporous adsorption resin
Macroporous adsorption resin is an artificially synthetic polymer adsorbent
which has multi hole three dimension structures. It is a new type resin
developed from application of ion exchange and other adsorbent. The
principle of its wok is physical adsorption by way of the FanDenHua
gravitation between itself and adsorbed molecules and through its huge ratio
surface. It has very strong adsorbing ability to those molecules with
similar structure such as aroma annular chemical compound. The process of
using synthetic adsorption extraction make solvent to be reduced and safer
than other adsorption.

THE SPECIALITY
Macroporous adsorption resin has multi holes framework, and
its speciality is similar to active charcoal but it can make up the storage
of active charcoal because of the advantages as below:
1) Its physical and chemical
property is stabled, good mechanical intensity and used with long term.
2) Regenerate easily, as
usual it can make extraction in water, sparse acid, alkali or organic
solvent such ethanol with low charcoal, acetone, and the matter extracted
has low ashes.
3) Many type, and it can
change the structure of resin, polarity to fit many types of organic
compound adsorption.
4) As usual, the resin like
a ball and the diameter is between 0.2-0.8mm. So it is more convenient for
its hydro-resistance than active powder.
Macroporous adsorption
resin is type of intersectant polymer without ion exchange. It doesn¡¯t
dissolve in any acid, alkali, organic solvent and heated up because of
intersectant solid structure. And make it high mechanical stabilization as
its flexible structure, and high intersectant make it producing chemical. So
when it is being in inclement condition, it has higher stabilization of
physical and chemical property than gelable resin. The hot weightlessness
temperature is 266¡æ.
It has excellent heat-resistant and irradiate-resistant property, and its
temperature is 150¡æ
or so for polystyrene resin, it can endure 200¡æ-250¡æ
in short time. It mustn¡¯t consider of inorganic salt, strong ion
minimum-molecule compound for organic matter concentration. It has
adsorption as FanDeHua gravitation and hydrogenolysis, and has filtration
property as its multi holes structure and huge ratio surface, so it is a
extraction material that is a compound adsorption and filtration property
what is different from ion exchange resin. Its chemical structure has or
hasn¡¯t function radicel with different polarity. It includes un-polarity,
mid-polarity, polarity and strong polarity according to the surface property
of resin.
Un-polarity is made by minimum dipole
distance without any function radicel, and it is very fit to adsorb
un-polarity solvent for polarity solvent (such as water) as it high
hydrophobe property on the surface. Mid-polarity is a type of resin
containing ester radicel, has both hydrophobe and hydrophile on its surface,
it can adsorb un-polarity matter from polarity solvent, it also can adsorb
polarity matter from un-polarity matter. For polarity and strong polarity,
that contain acyl, cyanogen and phenol what have nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur
inside and etc, it is very fit polarity matter extraction by un-polarity
matter system.

Specific property
and usage of macroporous adsorption resin:¡¡
(1) Water
content of the resin is about 70%. It should be stored in a temperature over
0¡æ
in wet state. Avoid frozen breakage of ball body.
(2) Its
physical chemical property is stabled. It does not dissolve in acid, alkali
and organic solvent, indissolubility, hot weightlessness temperature 266¡æ.
(3) Before it
is used the resin should be pre-treated accordingly depending on application
purpose. That is to eliminate through infiltration the inertia solvent
remains inside the resin holes. The pre-treatment method is to add as much
ethanol as to a level 10cm above the resin layer in the extraction vessel
and infiltrate 4hours before rinsed by ethanol. The rinse should be made to
a extent that the flowed out liquid becomes non-cloudy when water diluted in
test tube. Then wash it repeatedly by water to an extent that ethanol
content less than 1% or there is no obvious ethanol smell. Then it can be
used in productions. The medical grade resin of our factory has undergone
deep treatment. So it can be used directly in productions.
(4) In
production, we suggest fill in 2 meters high of resin, and make adsorbing
flow speed 4-10 meters/h (1-4BV/h), methanol, acetone can desorption.
(5) Resin
regenerate: after a period of using, the resin will become weak in its
adsorbing ability and maybe contaminated. So it needs regenerate. The method
is to add 3%-5% hydrochloric acid solution to a level 10cm above resin layer
in the vessel and infiltrate for 2-4 hours, and then resin rinsed. Then use
same density hydrochloric acid solution of the quantity 3-4 times that of
resin to rinsed and then wash with clear water to an extent near neural.
Then infiltrate with 3%-5% sodium hydroxide solution for 4 hours. Then
rinse. Using same density sodium hydroxide solution of the quantity 3-4
times that of resin volume rinse. Finally wash with clear water approach to
an extent that PH become neutral.
